What's in a name

The company name ENQIO is derived from ENKI,
the Sumerian god of Wisdom.

A champion of humankind, a protector from misfortune, Enki was perceived as the one with an understanding of character and who would blend the best in all things to bring about justice and goodness. Enki is also seen as a trouble-shooter god. In foundational Sumerian literature Enki is described as “The wise and intelligent one, the prudent, skilful; the fashioner of the design of everything brought to life”. He brings joy to the other gods by taking time to think through things and then laying out the initial plan for creation and development and suggesting man’s primary activities.

To us at ENQIO this sits well with our perspective that Intelligence Inspires; Wisdom Works.  Effective activities are built on end-to-end understanding, empathy, superior talent and far-reaching vision.
